De productie van ‘How I Met Your Father’ gaat bijna beginnen. Hilary deelde vandaag op haar social media ze ze zojuist de eerste table read heeft afgerond met de cast! Ze laat weten dat de cast echt super goed is en niet kan wachten om aan de slag te gaan. Het is nog niet bekend wanneer de opnames beginnen en wanneer de serie te zien is op de streamingsdienst Hulu.

Hilary heeft het bedrijf Naturalena die achter de merken ‘Happy Little Camper’ en ‘Veeda’ zit aangeklaagd omdat ze onrechtmatig het contact met haar zouden hebben beëindigd. In 2019 sloot Hilary met het bedrijf een Endorsement contact af nadat zij haar team hadden benaderd, waarna Hilary de producten van hen aanprijst voor publiciteit. Waarna ze al onderdeel van dat contract te zien was in fotoshoots, nieuwsberichten, conferenties en andere activiteiten bijwoonde om hun producten te promoten. Hilary is van mening dat de de covid-19 pandemie als excuus hebben gebruikt om haar contract te beëindigen terwijl de verkoop van producten juist steeg. En dat ondanks dat ze het contact met haar hebben beëindigd ze haar beeltenis en naam nog steeds gebruiken om hun producten aan te prijzen, waarvoor ze haar niet betalen. Hiervoor wil ze een compensatie krijgen, wat ze voor compensatie eist staat niet in de aanklacht vermeld.

Actress Hilary Duff has filed suit against Irvine-based Naturalena Brands, alleging company officials used the pandemic as an excuse to wrongfully terminate an endorsement deal.

The 33-year-old “Younger” star’s lawsuit alleges breach of written contract and misappropriation of the right of publicity. Duff is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages in the complaint filed Monday.

“This action is the result of [Naturalena’s] refusal to honor their contractual commitments under a celebrity endorsement agreement and associated guarantee relating to Hilary Duff’s endorsement of [Naturalena’s] natural baby and feminine hygiene products,” the suit alleges.

According to the suit, Duff’s name, photograph, voice, signature and likeness have “enormous commercial value,” and companies regularly ask her to endorse their products to her “substantial following of fans around the world.”

The suit states representatives for the company entered into discussions with Duff’s team in late 2018 about possibly endorsing Naturalena’s Happy Little Campers and Veeda products. Both sides entered into a final endorsement agreement in October 2019, according to the suit.

As part of the agreement, the suit states Duff attended photo shoots, news conferences and other events to promote Naturalena and its products. The suit also said she wrote blog posts, posted photographs and videos on her own social media accounts and allowed Naturalena to post photos and videos featuring her on its social media accounts, according to the suit.

However, the lawsuit alleges Naturalena “concocted a bogus claim of force majeure,” citing the ongoing pandemic, and claimed the endorsement agreement was terminated.

“In fact, various press reports indicate that Naturalena experienced an increase in demand for its products range during the COVID-19 pandemic,” the suit states.

According to the suit, Naturalena “apparently believed that their sales would be better than they turned out to be.” The lawsuit also states that despite allegedly refusing to pay Duff and claiming to have ended the endorsement deal, the company continued to use Duff’s name and likeness to promote its products.

City News Service could not immediately reach a representative for Naturalena Brands for comment.

Hilary heeft na enkele maanden enkele foto’s gedeeld van de dag dag dochter Mae geboren werd! In een uitgebreide post op instagram laat ze weten wat er ervaringen op die dag waren.

Feeling ready to share some photos of Mae Mae’s birth day!!! For me to feel safe during birth and get to where I need to go, it’s crucial to have the right support system. The perfect amount of space, counter-pressure, humor, stillness and people that support my power. My hubby is the most calm anchor in the room when I feel like climbing the walls and my little Molly is an extraordinary doula who sat with me when I needed to be still and quiet. She quite enjoyed the fact that I was sitting on doggy puddle pads as my water had broken hours before 🤣 My own mama was there to make all the snacks and watch with a big nervous smile as her baby brings her a new grandbaby earthside. The help that I have to support my other children while I am not able is maybe the most comforting thought of all. All hands on deck. Forever lol. This is hard work…every way a woman brings a baby in is. From getting pregnant, to c-sections, hospital or home births, the breast feeding journey (oy vey that one gets me every time) and raising these little beings responsibly to be stand up, confidant, kind citizens of the world. It’s completely consuming. A tedious, magical, miraculous adventure…So cheers almighty mothers. You make mountains move daily ♥️

Vandaag is de een special soundtrack album van ‘Younger’ verschijnen om het laatste seizoen van de serie te vieren, deze is digitaal te koop via deze link. In Amerika zal daarnaast ook nog een gelimiteerde LP verschijnen en in augustus zal de soundtrack ook te koop zijn in enkele fysieke winkels.

Op de soundtrack is o.a. de niet eerder verschenen opname te horen van Liza (Sutton Foster), Kelsey (Hilary Duff) en Diana’s (Miriam Shor) cover van Dolly Parton’s nummer ‘9 to 5’! Deze zongen zij in aflevering 6×01 Big Day.

De Amerikaanse zender TVLand gaat vanaf 7 juli het laatste en zevende seizoen van ‘Younger’ uitzenden, ze zullen per avond twee afleveringen uitzenden. Het zevende seizoen was sinds 15 april al te zien op de Amerikaanse streamingsdienst Paramount+. De eerste zes seizoenen werden hiervoor als eerst uitgezonden op de zender TVLand en het was ook de bedoeling dat het zevende seizoen door hun uitgezonden zou worden.

Darren Star heeft na de series finale in een interview definitief laten weten dat er geen ‘Younger’ spin-off komt met Kelsey in de hoofdrol. Eerder dit jaren waren er geruchten dat dit een mogelijkheid is maar deze zijn er dus niet. In een interview laat bedenker Darren Star weten dat Kelsey’s verhuizing naar Californië zeker potentie had om haar verhaal verder te vertellen, maar dat dit altijd het plan was om haar verhaallijn zo te laten eindigen. Ook als Charles Micheal Davis beschikbaar was geweest voor opnames waardoor Kelsey’s relaties met Zane niet direct aan het begin van het seizoen zou eindigen was het altijd de planning dat Kelsey haar eigen ding zou doen.

Darren Star: “I think that’s pretty much off the table. [Kelsey moving to California] could have set up the spinoff, sure, but that’s also just the way we wanted this to end. We resolved her story regardless of any notion of a spinoff. Even if Zane had stuck around, I don’t believe they would have ended up together. Her journey was taking her somewhere else. It was always in our mind that she would set out for Los Angeles and start something new. There were a lot of iterations of that. If Charles Michael Davis had been available to us, things might have played out a little differently, but it was always going to end with Kelsey doing her own thing, alone, heading to Los Angeles.”

Op de vraag of Kelsey zonder haar BFF Lauren naar L.A. zou gaan zei het het volgende. “going to LA is certainly one possibility” for Lauren, who has “a lot of paths she could take in her life and career.”

Nadat afgelopen mei bekend werd dat ze te zien zal zijn in ‘How I Met Your Father’, was de kans erg klein dat Hilary zou tekenen voor een ‘Younger’ spin-off als de plannen er waren geweest. Het eerste seizoen van de Hilary’s nieuwe serie zal te zien zijn op de Amerikaanse streamingsdienst Hulu en bestaan uit 10 afleveringen. De productie van de serie is enkele weken geleden begonnen, maar de opnames zelf moeten nog beginnen.
